Another positive review of Midwest Shreds!
When you’re a debut indie author, there’s a lot of fear-mongering around the “lifecycle” of your book. Some folks say whatever is sold in the first 6 weeks of the book’s launch makes up the bulk of the sales and that media attention is harder to come by after that time because “no one cares.”
I can’t speak to the former because I’m still waiting on my first royalty statement, I can say that the latter doesn’t seem to be true. I’m still getting invited to book festivals, to speak to classes, to teach workshops, and even still getting reviews! I was thrilled to wake up to a review of Midwest Shreds on the Sundress blog. The good folks at Sundress are the ones who gave me the grant for Palestinian writers and the writing residency at their farm, which I’m jazzed about!
I love Sundress and I’m honored one of their reviewers loved Midwest Shreds. Check it out!
