I’ll be at the Buckeye Book Fair for the first time! It’s a book festival focused on Ohio authors, and lots of fun folks will be there. It’s an all-day event, so stop by for a bit or stay for a couple of hours!
I’d love to see you!
I’m thrilled to not only be able to attend and sell books at this multi-day festival, but also to do two presentations!

Do You Even Write, Bruh?: Literary Sports Writing with Mandy Shunnarah
From roller skating to powerlifting and soccer to trail running, sports capture the imagination of spectators and participants. But often, sports are excluded from literary writing. Capture sights, sounds, smells, and feelings of physical movement for creative nonfiction, fiction, and poetry.
I’m excited to be back at Street Cat Zine Fest in Chillicothe, Ohio, for the second year!
I’ll be slinging zines (one fiction, one nonfiction) at my table, as well as copies of Midwest Shreds, and possibly some weird collages and weavings I made! It was super fun last year and everyone is delightful.
I’m going to be at the Columbus Book Festival pretty much all weekend!
Find me at the Prologue Bookshop tent on Saturday at 2pm onward and the rest of the time, before and after, at the Bookspace Columbus tent!
I’ll be signing and selling books, so come see me!
I'll be at two tables at the Columbus Art Book Fair May 13-14th! It's a fun festival with a lot of talented folks, so come out for the books and artists.
I'll have a table with copies of my zines, including all 3 issues of Kill the Gatekeeper and a ✨brand new✨ poetry zine that I can't wait to debut. I'll also be at the table for Gazala Projects, which is an art gallery highlighting Arab creators. We'll be previewing our exhibit Text Me When You Get Home: Poetry and text art by Palestinian creatives with Ohio connections!
Following the Columbus Art Book Fair, the exhibit will be traveling to Urban Arts Space Columbus, then to the Gazala Projects headquarters in Gettysburg, Ohio. I'll be performing poetry live at various times and the text will be shown in a sculpture garden-esque display when I'm not there. Stay tuned for more info on the traveling exhibit.
More info on Columbus Art Book Fair is here.
What are you doing on Saturday, August 13th? If you’re in central Ohio, you should totally come to the Street Cat Zine Fest!
Now in its sixth year, SCZF is a celebration of zines and other handmade arts. Zine makers like myself will have our zines for sale, there will be other artists and makers set up with their wares, and there’ll be live music from Ben Davis Jr., Kimmy Vicky, J.I.B., and C.D. Bailey.
Admission is free and the festival will be held at the Scioto Township Hall at 164 South Watt Street in Chillicothe, Ohio, from 12pm to 6pm on Saturday, August 13th.
I’ll be there with all three volumes of Kill the Gatekeeper. If you can’t make it, the zines are also available in my Etsy shop.
