I read some poems for a Palestine fundraiser!
While the live portion of the fundraiser has concluded, the fundraiser lives on in perpetuity, so you can still enjoy this video. :)
I’m one of the contributors to the anthology Ask the Night for a Dream: Palestinian Writing From the Diaspora, published by Palestine Writes Press, and we did an online reading with the Arab American National Museum. There are QR codes on screen to donate to Palestine Legal and the PCRF (Palestinian Children’s Relief Fund). I actually have an essay called “Redneck Palestinian” in the anthology, but it’s pretty long, so I ended up reading two poems instead.
Everyone’s work is fantastic, so I definitely recommend watching/listening to the whole thing, but if you’re short on time and just want to see me, I come in at 54:46. And please don’t forget to donate—both Palestine Legal and PCRF need all the help they can get.
