Thanks for a fantastic book launch for We Had Mansions!!
I could not have asked for a dreamier way to celebrate We Had Mansions!
Thank you to Two Dollar Radio HQ for hosting. Thank you to Sara Abou Rashed, Nathan McDowell, and Travis Chi Wing Lau for being such powerful opening readers. Thank you to everyone who bought a book or two, posted on social media, brought your friends, etc. Thank you to everyone who packed the house at Two Dollar Radio! There were so many folks that they ran out of chairs!
And thank you especially to everyone who supported the fundraiser for The Sameer Project. Between the 10 handwoven Palestine flag wall hangings I made (and the one random oil pastel of a poppy field I made when I got a wild hair) and the gorgeous bouquets of blooms from Sunny Meadow Farms (thank you, Regan Fallon!), we were able to raise around $750. I don’t know the exact amount because we just asked folks to donate directly to The Sameer Project instead of funneling the donations through me or the friends running the donation table. We received a handful of cash donations, so there’s a screenshot of the donation receipt in the photos below for transparency. Thank you so much for your kindness and generosity!!
Diode Editions, my publisher, is also donating a portion of book sales to Palestine Children’s Relief Fund (PCRF)!
There are so many more people I could thank individually, but the list would be a mile long. I hope you know who you are—enormous gratitude from my heart to yours!
