I'm a 2025 GCAC Navigator!

What does that even mean, you ask? Great question!

Actually, that’s the whole deal as a GCAC Navigator—you answer questions and point artists in the direction of resources available in Columbus.

GCAC stands for the Greater Columbus Arts Council and every year, they give grants, awards, and residencies to writers, musicians, filmmakers, 2D visual artists, dancers, actors, and other types of artists. I’ve been fortunate to be the recipient of the GCAC’s Funds for Artist grants two years in a row. That money helps me pay for things like submission fees, conference fees, workshop fees, art supplies, and many other things that help me professionally develop, promote, or produce my work.

Speaking of Funds for Artists, the first of two rounds for 2025 is open now!

So my job as a GCAC Navigator is to go out into my community of writers and make sure they know about all the grants, awards, and residencies they can benefit from.

And selfishly, all the other Navigators are SO COOL. Meet them!

My page is here. :)
