I'm in another anthology! Gifted-ish: Women and Nonbinary Writers on Intelligence, Identity and Education

This has been a year or so in the making, so I’m super excited to announce that another anthology I’m in has a cover!

Gifted-ish: Women and Nonbinary Writers on Intelligence, Identity and Education is being published by McFarland Books, an academic press, and it’ll be available for preorder this fall. The only downside is that––and this is common of academic books––the book is hella expensive. Like $65.

I’ve got a 5,000-word essay in there about how my elementary school wanted to double-promote me and why I’m so glad they didn’t because it would’ve been a terrible mistake. I also dig into how being a gifted kid continues to affect me as an adult. Let’s just say, the gifted kid to anxious adult pipeline is REAL.

So I totally understand not being able to spend $65 on a book, but requesting the book from your library is free! If you can convince your library to buy a copy or two, that’s amazing.

Thank you, as always, and I can’t wait to share more when the book is fully out!
