New short story! "Holler General" is an ode to small-town summers

Last summer, one of my best friends Harmony and I decided to go for a weeklong road trip through Appalachian Ohio. The experience got me thinking about what it would’ve been like if both of us had grown up together in one of the towns we visited.

The experience inspired me to write a short story called “Holler General,” which is up now at Exposition Review! It’s one of my favorite things I’ve ever written, so I hope you’ll read and enjoy. :)
